Role & responsibilities

1. BIS Certification & Regulatory Compliance

•Handle BIS ISI Certification (Scheme I), CRS Registration (Scheme II), and FMCS applications.

•Assess product applicability under relevant Indian Standards (IS) and Quality Control

Orders (QCOs).

•Identify applicable certification schemes and documentation requirements.

•Prepare, review, and submit BIS certification applications through the relevant portals.

•Handle fresh applications, renewals, scope inclusions, and other licence modifications.

2. Documentation & Application Processing

•Prepare and verify technical and regulatory documentation required for BIS certification.

•Review manufacturing processes, machinery lists, testing facilities, calibration certificates, and quality control documents.

•Prepare application forms, undertakings, declarations, and supporting documentation.

•Respond to BIS queries, observations, and nonconformity reports.

3. Testing & Inspection Coordination

•Coordinate with BIS-recognised laboratories for product testing.

•Review test reports for compliance with applicable Indian Standards.





•Assist manufacturers in preparing for BIS factory inspections and audits.

•Coordinate with BIS officials, laboratory representatives, and client technical teams.

•Support closure of inspection observations and corrective actions.

4. Client & Regulatory Coordination

- Independently manage assigned BIS certification projects. •Communicate with domestic and foreign manufacturers regarding compliance requirements.

•Coordinate with BIS departments for application processing, queries, and approvals.

•Maintain application trackers, project timelines, and documentation records.

•Provide regular progress updates to clients and internal management.

5. Regulatory Research & Updates

•Monitor amendments to BIS regulations, Indian Standards, and Quality Control

Orders.

•Analyse recent BIS notifications and their impact on different product categories.

•Support preparation of regulatory checklists, advisory notes, and compliance reports.
