Role & responsibilities

Material Preparation & Formulation

- Synthesis Support: Assist in the preparation and processing of advanced materials (e.g., conductive additives, coatings, and composite powders) using high-shear mixers, ball mills, and furnaces.
- Slurry Mixing: Accurately weigh and mix active materials, binders, and solvents to create uniform slurries for coating processes, adhering strictly to target rheological properties.
- Sample Management: Catalog, label, and safely store experimental samples, ensuring explicit traceability across the development lifecycle.

Analytical Characterization

- Physical Testing: Conduct routine physical and chemical characterizations of powders and slurries, including measuring viscosity, tap density, particle size distribution, and moisture content.

Data Collection & Documentation

- Data Management: Accurately record cell build data, experimental parameters, and test results into laboratory tracking systems or notebooks.




- Basic Analysis: Extract, process, and plot test data to support scientists and engineers in making R&D; decisions.
- SOP Development: Help create, continuously update, and maintain detailed documentation for battery handling, assembly, and testing procedures.

Lab Operations & Safety

- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on laboratory equipment, including analytical balances, cyclers, gloveboxes, and vacuum ovens.
- Inventory Control: Track and manage the inventory of lab supplies, chemicals, active materials, and safety equipment.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all chemical and electrical safety guidelines, including proper storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous materials (e.g., lithium salts, toxic solvents).
