Position: Barista

Department: Food & Beverage – Beverage Section

Reporting To: Assistant Restaurant Manager

Location: Serenity Cafe, MIT ADT Rajbaug Campus, Loni Kalbhor, Pune

JOB PURPOSE To prepare and serve high-quality coffee and beverages as per standard recipes while maintaining excellent guest service, hygiene, presentation and beverage quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 Prepare coffee, tea, mocktails, milkshakes, smoothies and other beverages as per standardized recipes.

 Operate and maintain espresso machine, coffee grinder, blender, juicer and other beverage equipment.

 Ensure correct portion, taste, temperature, presentation and consistency of all beverages.

 Maintain beverage mise en place and ensure availability of required ingredients.

 Follow FIFO/FEFO, proper storage and date-labeling procedures.

 Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the bar counter, equipment and work area.

 Follow FSSAI, HACCP and company food-safety standards.

 Coordinate with the service team/POS for timely and accurate order preparation.

 Provide professional and courteous service to guests and handle feedback appropriately.

 Monitor beverage stock, minimize wastage and report shortages to the Supervisor/Store In-

Charge.

 Complete daily opening and closing duties, including equipment cleaning and sanitization.





 Report equipment faults, maintenance requirements and operational issues immediately.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

 Minimum 1–3 years’ experience as a Barista in a café, restaurant or hotel.

 Barista certification/training preferred.

 Valuable knowledge of espresso preparation and beverage equipment.

 Basic knowledge of beverage hygiene, storage and portion control.

 Good communication and customer-service skills.

 Willingness to work in shifts, weekends and holidays.

ACCOUNTABILITY

Responsible for consistent beverage quality, guest satisfaction, hygiene, proper equipment handling, recipe compliance and controlled beverage wastage within the assigned beverage section.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹27,000.00 per month
