Backend Engineer: 4 to 8 Years

We are looking for a strong Backend Engineer to join our Product & Engineering organization and help build scalable SaaS platforms, AI-powered applications and data-intensive products. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys solving complex backend problems and building production-grade systemsnot primarily maintenance or CRUD applications.

What You'll Do • Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Python.

- Build production applications using FastAPI, Django or similar frameworks.
- Design REST APIs, microservices and asynchronous processing systems.
- Work with PostgreSQL, Redis, queues and event-driven architectures such as Kafka.
- Build reliable backend services supporting data-intensive and AI-powered applications.
- Work with Docker and cloud infrastructure such as AWS/GCP.
- Collaborate with Product, Frontend, AI and Engineering teams.
- Contribute to architecture, scalability, performance, security, testing and reliability.

What We're Looking For • Strong hands-on Python experience.

- Production experience with FastAPI, Django or similar frameworks.




- Robust PostgreSQL and database design skills.
- Experience with Redis, REST APIs and asynchronous programming.
- Experience with queues/event-driven systems; Kafka is a strong advantage.
- Experience with Docker and AWS/GCP.
- Elasticsearch/OpenSearch or similar search technologies is an advantage. • SaaS, AI products, data platforms or enterprise applications experience is preferred. Stability & Ownership We prefer candidates with 2+ year tenures in meaningful roles with ownership of production systems or product areas. For the AI role, strong startup experience can justify shorter periods where the candidate has clearly built and shipped meaningful AI products.

Prefer • Pure CRUD developers • Maintenance-heavy services profiles • Candidates with limited production ownership • Basic API development without meaningful system complexity Educational Background Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related technical discipline. Coding strength and engineering capability matter more than college brand.
