Backend Developer – Effect TS / NestJS / TypeScript

About the Role

We are looking for a Backend Developer with strong expertise in TypeScript, NestJS, and Effect TS to build scalable, reliable, and production-ready backend systems.

You will work closely with our product, frontend, and AI engineering teams to design APIs, business logic, integrations, and backend services. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of modern TypeScript backend architecture and be comfortable working with functional programming concepts using Effect TS.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using TypeScript and NestJS.
- Build robust APIs, microservices, and backend modules for web and AI-powered products.
- Use Effect TS for typed error handling, dependency management, concurrency, resource management, and functional backend workflows.
- Design clean and maintainable application architecture using NestJS.
- Develop REST APIs and integrate third-party APIs and external services.
- Implement authentication, authorization, validation, logging, and error-handling systems.
- Work with databases and design efficient data models and queries.
- Build asynchronous and event-driven backend workflows where required.
- Write clean, reusable, strongly typed TypeScript code.
- Identify and resolve performance, reliability, and scalability issues.
- Write unit and integration tests for backend services.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product teams, and other engineers to deliver end-to-end features.
- Deploy, monitor, debug, and maintain backend services in production environments.

Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but strong practical development experience will also be considered.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
