We are looking for a hands-on Backend Engineer to build, scale, and maintain backend services for a technology marketplace. The role involves developing microservices, APIs, billing systems, and event-driven architectures using up-to-date cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.

- Build REST APIs and GraphQL Federation subgraphs.

- Develop billing, subscription, payment, invoicing, and payout workflows.

- Build and maintain microservices and event-driven systems using Kafka and Kinesis.

- Work with AWS, Kubernetes, MySQL/PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, and ClickHouse.

- Optimize application performance, database queries, scalability, and reliability.

- Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices.

- Participate in production support, incident resolution, testing, and deployments.

- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity.





Required Skills

- 5–8 years of backend development experience.

- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript.

- Experience with microservices, REST APIs, and GraphQL.

- Proficiency in MySQL and/or PostgreSQL.

- Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Kafka or similar event-streaming platforms.

- Knowledge of CI/CD, Terraform, observability, and secure API development.

- Experience with billing, payment systems, or usage metering.

Positive to Have

- GraphQL Federation, Redis, ClickHouse, and DynamoDB.

- API gateways, rate limiting, and quota management.

- Familiarity with AI coding tools and agent protocols such as MCP or A2A.
