Role Description The Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This role is responsible for designing, deploying, and managing AVD environments, ensuring secure, reliable, and high-performing virtual workspaces for clients.

Day-to-day activities include configuring AVD infrastructure, managing user access and profiles, monitoring performance, and optimizing resource usage. The specialist will troubleshoot desktop and virtual environment issues, provide technical support to end users and internal teams, and collaborate with cloud architects to integrate AVD with Azure, Microsoft Entra, and other services.



The role also involves documenting configurations and procedures, implementing best practices for security and compliance, and supporting continuous improvement of cloud workspace solutions.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency working with desktop computers and virtual desktop environments, including Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
- Hands-on experience in technical support and desk top support for end users in a corporate or managed services setting.
- Demonstrated ability in troubleshooting system, network, and application issues within desktop and virtual workspace infrastructures.
- Practical skills in computer repair, hardware diagnostics, and coordinating with vendors or internal teams for resolution.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and related cloud infrastructure services.
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies, remote desktop protocols, and contemporary workspace management tools.
- Understanding of security, compliance, and access management best practices in cloud and virtual desktop environments.
- Strong communication skills, ability to document processes clearly, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Azure Administrator, Azure Virtual Desktop specialty) are an advantage.
