Role: Azure APIM Developer

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Azure APIM Developer to design, develop, configure, secure, and manage APIs using Microsoft Azure API Management (APIM). The candidate will work closely with application, integration, DevOps, and security teams to build scalable and secure API solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, publish, and manage RESTful APIs using Azure API Management.
- Configure APIM APIs, Products, Subscriptions, Policies, Backends, Named Values, and Version Sets.
- Develop and maintain APIM policies for:

- Authentication and authorization

- Rate limiting and throttling

- IP filtering

- Request/response transformation

- Header manipulation

- Caching

- Routing and backend selection
- Integrate APIM with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, App Services, AKS, Azure Service Bus, and other backend services.




- Implement API security using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID, and certificates.
- Configure and manage custom domains, TLS/SSL certificates, CORS, and networking.
- Work with Azure Virtual Networks, Private Endpoints, VNet integration, and Application Gateway where required.
- Implement API monitoring and troubleshooting using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
- Automate APIM deployments using Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions, ARM/Bicep/Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Manage API versions, revisions, lifecycle, and developer portal configurations.
- Troubleshoot API performance, connectivity, authentication, and policy-related issues.
