Summary

- The AWS Application Cloud Engineer – Senior Associate is responsible for designing, deploying, and optimizing application platforms on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role requires strong hands‑on expertise in AWS-native application services, automation, and cloud operational excellence.
- The Senior Associate serves as a technical escalation point, leads complex troubleshooting, drives standardization and automation, and partners closely with application development, architecture, and platform teams.

Responsibilities





- Lead deployment and operation of cloud-hosted applications on AWS
- Design and implement application hosting solutions using:

o AWS Elastic Beanstalk o ECS / EKS o Lambda and serverless services
- Lead application integration with:

o AWS RDS / DynamoDB o S3 o Messaging and event-driven services
- Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using AWS DevOps tools (Codepipeline, Codebuild, etc) and third-party tools
- Implement monitoring, logging, and ing using CloudWatch and related services
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of application performance, scalability, and availability
- Define and enforce standards for:

o Application configurations o Deployment models o Security and IAM integration
- Support application modernization and cloud migration initiatives
- Collaborate with Cloud Architects and DevOps teams on solution design
- Act as escalation point for production incidents and lead root cause analysis
- Mentor Associate-level engineers (as applicable)
- Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives

Skills

- Technical Skills

o Strong expertise in AWS application services o Hands-on experience with: § EC2,ECS / EKS, Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk

§ Se, RDS, DynamoDB

§ AWS networking and IAM o Strong understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices o Experience with automation and scripting languages such as Java, Python, Node.js and/or .NET o Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Microservices architecture o Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible)

o Understanding of application security and resiliency patterns

- Professional Skills

o Strong technical ownership and decision-making ability o Ability to lead complex problem resolution o Clear communication with developers, architects, and stakeholders o Mentoring and knowledge-sharing mindset Education / Professional Experience/ Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5–7 years of experience in AWS application engineering or DevOps roles





- AWS certifications strongly preferred
