AVP Underwriting (Liability) – 6–8 Years – Mumbai

Are you an experienced Liability Underwriting professional with strong expertise in underwriting, broker management, business development and risk assessment? We are looking for a skilled professional to manage Liability underwriting and contribute to profitable portfolio growth.

Responsibilities

- Underwrite Liability insurance proposals across various products and clients, evaluating risks and determining appropriate terms and coverage.
- Drive business development through customer interaction, deal closures, techno-marketing and product presentations.
- Manage relationships with brokers and customers, including training and development on Liability insurance products.
- Coordinate with reinsurance, product, sales, operations, legal and compliance teams on underwriting matters.
- Support pricing and portfolio reviews through market benchmarking, while ensuring regulatory and product compliance.

Requirements

- 6–8 years of experience in Liability Underwriting with a General Insurance company.
- Strong understanding of Liability insurance products, underwriting principles and risk assessment.
- Experience in managing brokers, customers and other key stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Graduate/Postgraduate qualification; insurance-related certification/diploma will be preferred.
