J C Kabra & Associates is hiring Audit Executives for its forensic audit practice. Newly qualified Chartered Accountants and CAs with up to 5 years of experience are welcome.

01 ABOUT THE ROLE

J C Kabra & Associates (JCKCA) is a Mumbai-headquartered, ICAI peer-reviewed Chartered Accountancy firm with 12 partners across India. We carry out forensic, concurrent, statutory and internal audits and risk advisory work, and hold long-standing empanelments with major banks, regulators the Serious Fraud Investigation Office, the FCRA, the Income tax Department and the Economic Offences Wing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The Audit Executive carries out forensic audit assignments for banks, lenders and corporates under the guidance of the engagement manager and partner.

Investigation & analysis Conduct forensic audits of borrower accounts referred by banks and lenders, including fraud and wilful default reviews

Trace fund flows, diversion and siphoning of funds using books of accounts, bank statements, GST and ITR data

Identify related-party, circular and round-tripping transactions and accommodation entries

Review loan sanction, disbursement and end-use of funds against sanctioned termsEvidence & verification Verify stock, debtors and sset statements against records; conduct physical verification where required

Collect, examine and preserve documentary and electronic evidence to forensic standards

Analyse large datasets in Excel and analytics tools to spot red flags and anomaliesReporting & stakeholders Interact with bank officials, borrowers and promoters,



and document explanations received

Draft forensic audit reports with transparent findings, evidence trails and quantification

Support partners in presentations to bank consortiums, regulators and investigating agencies

Maintain working papers to firm standards and ICAI Forensic Accounting and Investigation Standards (FAIS)03 ELIGIBILITY

Qualified Chartered Accountants can apply, whether newly qualified or experienced.

Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA). DISA, FAFD (ICAI Forensic Accounting and Fraud Detection) or CFE certification is an added advantage.

Freshers: Newly qualified CAs are welcome to apply. Training in forensic audit methodology will be provided.

Experienced (up to 5 years): Prior experience in forensic audit, fraud investigation, bank audits, stock audits or internal audit is preferred.04 SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

Sound knowledge of accounting standards, Companies Act, and banking and lending operations

Understanding of RBI Master Directions on Frauds and wilful defaulters

Strong MS Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis); IDEA, ACL or Power BI is an advantage

Analytical and investigative mindset with strong attention to detail

Clear report writing and spoken English; Hindi or Marathi is an advantage

High integrity and discretion with confidential information

Willingness to travel to client and borrower locations within and outside Mumbai
