SAP PP Production Planning

Location: Pune / Viman Nagar

Job Purpose To manage and support SAP PP processes for manufacturing operations, ensuring effective production planning, material availability, production execution, and integration with business functions.

Key Responsibilities

- Understand business requirements related to Production Planning and Manufacturing and translate them into SAP PP solutions.
- Configure and support SAP PP processes including:

- MRP / MRP Run
- Production Planning & Scheduling
- Production Orders / Work Orders
- BOM, Routing, Work Centers and Production Versions

- Capacity Planning

- Shop Floor Execution
- Create, maintain and troubleshoot Production BOM and master data in SAP.
- Support production order creation, release, confirmation and closure.
- Monitor material shortages and coordinate with MM/Purchase and Production teams for resolution.
- Work closely with Production, PPC, SCM, Quality and Finance teams for smooth SAP process integration.
- Support integration of SAP PP with MM, QM, SD and CO modules.




- Participate in SAP implementation, rollout, enhancement and support projects.
- Conduct requirement gathering, process mapping, testing, UAT and user training.
- Analyze SAP PP issues and provide timely resolution to plant users.
- Prepare functional specifications, process documentation and user manuals.
- Support data migration, cutover, go-live and post-go-live activities.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and SAP process optimization.

Must-Have Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in SAP PP.
- Good knowledge of MRP, BOM, Routing, Work Centers, Production Orders and Capacity Planning.
- Experience in SAP PP implementation and/or support.
- Good understanding of manufacturing / automotive production processes.
- Experience working with SAP MM and QM integration.
- Experience in SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
