Role & responsibilities

1. Teaching &
- Academic Responsibilities

- Conduct lectures, tutorials, seminars, demonstrations and practical classes in Anatomy for MBBS, BDS and other allied health programmes.

- Conduct and supervise dissection and practical sessions.

- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, presentations and assessment materials.

- Participate in university examinations as examiner, evaluator, as permitted by applicable regulations.

- Mentor and guide undergraduate and postgraduate students. Monitor student attendance, academic progress and performance.

1. Departmental Responsibilities

- Assist the Professor &
- Head in the effective functioning of the Anatomy Department.

- Maintain academic records, attendance, practical records and other departmental documentation.

1. Research Responsibilities

- Initiate and participate in research projects in Anatomy and related fields.

- Publish research papers in peer-reviewed journals. Guide and mentor research scholars/students where applicable.

- Participate in conferences, CME programmes, workshops and academic forums.

1. Student Mentoring &
- Development

- Provide academic guidance and mentoring to students.

- Identify students requiring additional academic support and recommend appropriate interventions.

- Encourage participation in research, seminars, conferences and academic activities.





- Maintain qualified and ethical standards in student interactions.

1. Quality &
- Regulatory Compliance

- Ensure teaching and departmental activities comply with applicable National Medical Commission (NMC) and KUHS university requirements and also to fulfill Management norms.

- Participate in accreditation, inspection and quality-assurance activities.

- Maintain records required for statutory inspections and institutional audits.

- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of teaching methodologies.

1. Administrative Responsibilities

- Assist in preparation of departmental timetables, workload allocation and academic schedules.

- Coordinate with other departments regarding integrated teaching programmes.

- Assist in procurement and inventory management of departmental equipment, specimens and teaching materials.

- Perform other academic and administrative duties assigned by the Head of Department/Dean/Principal.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications

- MBBS from a recognized institution.

- MD/MS/DNB in Anatomy or an equivalent postgraduate qualification recognized by the applicable regulatory authority.

Experience Required

- As Assistant Professor in Anatomy for 4 years in the recognized medical college and one year SR ship

- Minimum of two research publications in indexed/national journals.
