We are looking for an AVP – Investment Banking (Equity / M&A;) to join the Investment Banking team in Bangalore. The role will involve working closely with clients and senior bankers across M&A;, equity transactions, valuation and transaction advisory mandates.
The ideal candidate should have strong financial modelling and valuation capabilities, along with experience in preparing high-quality client-facing transaction materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Support execution of M&A;, equity and other Investment Banking transactions across the deal lifecycle.
- Build and review detailed financial models, DCF valuations and transaction analyses.
- Conduct company, industry and comparable-company research to support transaction decisions.
- Prepare buy-side / sell-side pitch books, Information Memorandums (IMs), management presentations and other transaction-related materials.
- Assist in developing valuation analyses using DCF, Trading Comparables and Transaction Comparables.
- Work closely with senior bankers and clients on transaction execution, due diligence and deal documentation.
- Analyse financial statements, business performance,
industry trends and key investment considerations.
- Support preparation of deal teasers, investor presentations and strategic analysis.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders during transaction execution.
- Participate in client discussions and contribute to developing transaction strategies and recommendations.
Candidate Profile
- CA or MBA from a premier institute.
- 4–8 years of relevant experience in Investment Banking, M&A;, Venture Capital, Equity Research or a closely related transaction-oriented role.
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, valuation and corporate finance.
- Hands-on expertise in DCF valuation and advanced Excel financial modelling.
- Solid proficiency in PowerPoint / presentation development and preparation of client-facing decks.
- Excellent analytical, research and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with clients and senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven transaction environment.
