Position description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our Carbon Steel - Mechanical department at Jindal Ferrous Limited, a leader in the Mining & Metals industry. This role involves overseeing mechanical operations related to carbon steel production, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage complex projects and teams within a dynamic manufacturing setting.

This position plays a critical role in driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation in mechanical processes to support the company’s strategic objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage mechanical engineering activities related to carbon steel production, ensuring alignment with company goals and industry best practices.
- Oversee maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of mechanical equipment and systems to maximize operational efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and reliability programs to enhance equipment lifespan and performance.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including production, quality,



and safety to ensure seamless integration of mechanical processes.
- Manage project planning, execution, and monitoring for mechanical upgrades, installations, and process improvements within the department.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies in all mechanical operations.
- Analyze mechanical system failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve system reliability.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors for procurement, installation, and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
