The Red Ginger, Colva, is looking for a motivated and service-oriented Assistant Waiter to support the restaurant's food and beverage service operations. The ideal candidate should have a positive attitude, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn and deliver excellent guest service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist waiters in providing efficient and courteous service to guests.
- Help prepare the restaurant for service by arranging tables, cutlery, crockery, and glassware.
- Assist in serving food and beverages to guests as instructed by senior service staff.
- Clear tables promptly and reset them for the next guests.
- Ensure that the dining area, service stations, and restaurant equipment are clean and well-maintained.
- Replenish cutlery, napkins, condiments, and other service essentials.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and service team to ensure timely food delivery.
- Respond to guest requests promptly and communicate any concerns to the senior team.
- Follow restaurant service procedures and maintain proper hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Handle restaurant equipment carefully and report any breakages or maintenance issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Restaurant Manager or service supervisors.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in food and beverage service or a similar role is preferred.
- Basic understanding of restaurant service standards.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A customer-focused attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and in a fast-paced workplace.
