Job Summary:

Doon Institute of Medical Sciences (DIMS), Dehradun is inviting applications for the position of Faculty Operation Theatre Technology (OTT/BOTT). The ideal candidate should possess strong academic knowledge and practical expertise in Operation Theatre Technology, with a passion for teaching and mentoring students.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver theory lectures and practical sessions for Operation Theatre Technology (OTT/BOTT) students.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments, and examinations.
- Provide hands-on training in OT procedures, surgical instruments, sterilization techniques, and infection prevention & control.
- Supervise students during clinical postings, laboratory sessions, and hospital training.
- Assess student performance through practical and theoretical evaluations and maintain academic records, attendance, and logbooks.
- Mentor students and promote skilled ethics, discipline, and academic excellence.
- Assist in curriculum development,



departmental documentation, accreditation activities, and other academic initiatives.
- Participate in seminars, workshops, research, and faculty development programs as required.

Eligibility Criteria:

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT) or Operation Theatre & Anesthesia Technology from a recognized institution.
- Relevant teaching experience in an academic institution and/or clinical experience in a hospital will be preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively manage classroom and practical training sessions.

Preferred Candidate:

- Passionate about teaching and student development.
- Strong clinical knowledge and practical exposure to Operation Theatre procedures.
- Good organizational and documentation skills.
