Job Summary: Doon Institute of Medical Sciences (DIMS), Dehradun is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Faculty Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT/BMLT) – Microbiology to join its Allied & Health Sciences Department. The ideal candidate should have strong academic knowledge and practical expertise in Medical Microbiology and be committed to delivering quality education and clinical training to undergraduate students.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver theory lectures and practical sessions for MLT/BMLT students.
- Teach Medical Microbiology, Clinical Microbiology, and other related subjects as per the curriculum.
- Conduct practical demonstrations on microbiological techniques, culture methods, staining procedures, specimen processing, and laboratory diagnostics.
- Supervise laboratory practicals and ensure compliance with biosafety, quality assurance, and infection prevention & control protocols.
- Prepare lesson plans, study materials, assignments, question papers, and assessments.




- Evaluate students through practical and theoretical examinations and maintain attendance, academic records, and practical logbooks.
- Guide and mentor students during laboratory practicals, clinical laboratory postings, and research activities.
- Assist in departmental academic activities, curriculum development, documentation, accreditation processes, and faculty development programs.

Eligibility Criteria

- M.Sc. in Medical Microbiology, Microbiology, or a relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
- B.Sc. MLT/BMLT or other qualifications as prescribed for the post.
- Teaching experience in an academic institution and/or clinical laboratory experience will be preferred.
- Solid knowledge of microbiological laboratory techniques, biosafety standards, and quality control practices.
- Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Candidate

- Passionate about teaching and mentoring students.
- Hands-on experience in diagnostic microbiology laboratories.
- Well-organized with excellent documentation and academic coordination skills.
