VIT Chennai invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor Chemistry from qualified candidates with expertise in Analytical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, and Sustainable Chemistry, along with a robust commitment to teaching and research.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver classroom lectures and provide laboratory instruction in the relevant areas of Chemistry.
- Develop learning resources, teaching materials, and laboratory facilities.
- Conduct student assessments and evaluations, including university examination-related activities.
- Participate in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
- Guide and counsel students in their academic, personal, ethical, and professional development.
- Engage in research and development activities and provide research guidance.
- Conduct research in Analytical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Sustainable Chemistry, and related areas.
- Promote industry–institution collaboration, R&D; initiatives, and industrial connectivity.




- Facilitate interaction with industry and society and contribute to community service activities.
- Provide R&D; support and consultancy services to industries and other relevant agencies.
- Promote non-formal education for community benefit.
- Encourage entrepreneurship, disseminate knowledge, and provide technical support in areas of social relevance.
- Undertake any other relevant academic or administrative responsibilities assigned by the Dean of the respective school.

Educational Qualification: Ph.D. from a reputed university, with a strong research background and project experience. Specialization in Analytical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, or Sustainable Chemistry is required. Experience: 0–12 years.
