Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced professional to manage end-to-end sea export operations, documentation, and customer service for the USA trade lane. The candidate must have hands-on experience handling USA-bound shipments, with strong knowledge of US customs compliance requirements, carrier coordination, and shipment execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end sea export shipments (FCL/LCL) for the USA trade lane, from booking confirmation to shipment delivery coordination.
- Handle export documentation, including Shipping Bills, Master and House Bills of Lading (MBL/HBL), Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, and other relevant documents.
- Ensure compliance with US Customs requirements, including AMS (Automated Manifest System) filing and ISF 10+2 coordination.
- Coordinate with shipping lines, NVOCCs, overseas agents, customers, customs brokers, and transporters for smooth shipment execution.
- Monitor vessel schedules, shipping cut-offs, container movements, and shipment milestones to ensure timely dispatch.
- Coordinate inland transportation and intermodal movements, where applicable.
- Handle shipment exceptions, including vessel delays, rollovers, customs holds, and equipment shortages,



and ensure timely resolution.
- Monitor demurrage, detention, and other operational charges to maintain cost efficiency.
- Coordinate with pricing teams and vendors for freight rates, local charges, and shipment costing.
- Maintain regular communication with customers and overseas agents, providing timely shipment updates and resolving operational queries.
- Ensure accurate documentation, timely pre-alerts, and adherence to operational procedures.

Candidate Requirements
- 8–10 years of experience in sea export operations within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience handling USA-bound sea export shipments is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of FCL/LCL shipments, export documentation, and shipping line coordination.
- Practical experience with AMS filing and ISF 10+2 coordination.
- Knowledge of US customs requirements and relevant shipping compliance procedures.
- Experience in customer service, overseas agent coordination, shipment tracking, and exception handling.
- Good understanding of freight costing, vendor coordination, and demurrage/detention control.
- Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and customer-handling skills.

Significant: Candidates with general sea export experience but without substantial USA trade lane exposure will not be suitable for this position.
