Calibration Management

- Maintain calibration records of all gauges, instruments, and measuring equipment (TMMDE).

- Ensure timely calibration of gauges and instruments as per the approved calibration plan.

- Review and verify calibration certificates for compliance with national and international standards and traceability requirements.

- Review calibration results against acceptance criteria and update gauge history cards.

- Maintain calibration status labels indicating Gauge ID, calibration date, and due date.

- Monitor calibration frequency and ensure zero overdue calibrations.

Gauge Room Operations

- Control, maintain, and preserve all gauges and measuring instruments.

- Monitor daily gauge room activities and ensure systematic storage and handling of gauges.

- Issue calibrated gauges and instruments to production and inspection personnel.

- Verify the physical condition and calibration status of gauges before issue and after return.

- Maintain Gauge Issue Register, Gauge Breakdown Reports, and Gauge History Cards.

API Gauge Management

- Plan and coordinate calibration of API Master Gauges as per API 5B (Latest Edition).

- Plan and execute in-house calibration of API Working Plug Gauges and Working Ring Gauges.

- Verify calibration certificates of API gauges as per defined acceptance criteria.

Measurement System Analysis (MSA)

- Conduct MSA studies including:





- Gauge R&R;

- Bias Study

- Linearity Study

- Stability Study

- Analyze measurement capability and recommend improvement actions.

Gauge Planning & Development

- Identify and plan new gauge requirements for recent product development and process changes.

- Support inspection planning through selection and procurement of suitable gauges and measuring equipment.

- Coordinate with design, production, and QA teams for development of special gauges and fixtures.

Supplier Quality Improvement

- Support supplier quality improvement initiatives.

- Monitor implementation and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.

- Review calibration and measurement system compliance of suppliers whenever required.

Documentation & Compliance

- Maintain Master List of TMMDE (Tubular Division).

- Maintain Master List of Gauges & Equipment (Non-Tubular Division).

- Ensure documentation readiness for customer, API, ISO, and internal audits.

- Support audit activities and closure of observations related to calibration and measurement systems.

Inspection Activities

- Perform dimensional verification using:

- CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine)

- VMM (Vision Measuring Machine)

- Profile Projector

- Trimos Height Gauge

- Other precision measuring instruments.
