Role Description This is a full time remote role for an ASR and AI Transcription Specialist (English Language | wps 65). The specialist will work with automated speech recognition (ASR) and AI-driven transcription tools to accurately convert spoken English audio into written text.

Daily responsibilities include reviewing and correcting machine-generated transcripts, ensuring proper grammar, punctuation, and formatting, and maintaining high accuracy standards across various audio types and accents. The role involves performing quality checks, labeling or annotating audio data for AI training, and following established style guides and confidentiality protocols. The specialist will collaborate with team members, provide feedback on tool performance,



and support process improvements to enhance transcription workflows and AI models.

Qualifications

- Strong English language proficiency with excellent spelling, grammar, and punctuation; ability to type at approximately 65 words per minute with high accuracy.
- Experience working with ASR or AI transcription platforms and comfort with using digital tools, productivity software, and web-based applications.
- Attention to detail and strong quality-control mindset, including the ability to review, edit, and proofread transcripts for consistency and correctness.
- Ability to follow style guides, client instructions, and data-handling procedures while maintaining confidentiality and data security.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to manage high-volume workloads, meet deadlines, and work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong listening skills and ability to work with varied audio quality, accents, and subject matter, including technical or specialized content.
- Clear written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members and provide constructive feedback on processes and tools.
- Prior experience in transcription, linguistics, editing, or related fields is beneficial; a relevant diploma or degree is an advantage but not required where equivalent experience is demonstrated.
