Area Sales Manager (Agriculture & Electronic Products)

Location: Central Odisha/ South Odisha/ North Odisha/ East Odisha

Reports to: [Regional / Zonal Sales Manager]

Experience: [3-7 years] in sales, preferably in the agriculture or electronics sector

Role Summary

We are looking for an Area Sales Manager who will grow sales of agriculture and electronic products in the assigned area, manage the dealer and distributor network, and handle government projects and tenders / Block Co-ordinator

Key Responsibilities

- Set and achieve sales targets for the assigned area
- Build and manage a network of dealers, distributors and channel partners
- Conduct product demos and explain technical features to farmers, agri-institutions and FPOs/cooperatives
- Coordinate with government departments (agriculture department, KVKs, rural development, panchayats, etc.)
- Prepare quotations and bid documents, and follow up on tenders, including through the GeM portal
- Oversee delivery, installation and payment follow-up on government orders
- Track market trends and competitor activity, and submit monthly sales reports




- Guide and support the field team (if applicable)

Required Skills

- Good understanding of agriculture: crops, farming practices and farmers' needs
- Knowledge of electronic products (e.g., pumps, motors, solar systems/controllers, sensors, or your specific product range)
- Experience with government projects and tenders: GeM, e-tendering, documentation, EMD and compliance
- Block Co- ordinator
- Solid communication and negotiation skills (Hindi and local language; English preferred)
- Target-driven, with willingness to travel extensively in the field
- Basic proficiency in MS Excel, Word and email

Preferred Qualifications

- Graduate degree (B.Sc. Agriculture, B.Tech, BBA or MBA preferred)
- Own two-wheeler and a valid driving licence
