Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Tester with extensive experience in API testing, specifically using REST Assured. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in software testing methodologies and a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work collaboratively within a team to ensure the successful execution of testing strategies.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for API services using REST Assured.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand application architecture and identify testing requirements.
- Perform functional, regression, and performance testing on APIs to ensure reliability and performance.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with developers to resolve issues.
- Maintain and enhance automated test scripts and frameworks.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.




- Document testing processes, results, and defects in a clear and concise manner.
- Mentor junior testers and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing practices.

Mandatory Skills

- Proven experience with REST Assured for API testing.
- Strong understanding of RESTful web services and API protocols.
- Experience in test automation and scripting.
- Proficiency in Java programming language.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with other testing frameworks and tools (e.g., JUnit, TestNG).
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10-15 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on API testing.
- Relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.
