Key Responsibilities: Lead Computer Vision for defect detection, inspection, OCR, label/packaging verification, anomalies, and process monitoring. Architect cameras, optics, lighting, acquisition, edge devices, AI/ML, applications, data pipelines, and manufacturing integrations.

Drive

PoC-to-production, requirements, acceptance criteria, validation, KPIs, scalability, and support. Ensure GMP/GxP, CSV, 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11, data integrity, audit trails, change control, and risk management. Integrate PLC, MES, SCADA, DCS, OPC-UA, MQTT, REST APIs, historians, and enterprise systems.

Establish software engineering, testing, CI/CD, observability, image/video data, metadata, annotation, versioning, lineage, traceability, retention, and monitoring. Define model validation, accuracy, false accept/reject thresholds, robustness, and production monitoring. Evaluate technologies, hardware, platforms, vendors, and integrators; build reusable, scalable standards.

Technology/Skills: Expertise in image processing, detection, segmentation, OCR, classification, anomaly detection, and tracking using OpenCV, PyTorch, TensorFlow, YOLO, Detectron2, scikit-image, or equivalent.

Python and production software engineering skills including APIs, testing, code reviews, dependency management, CI/CD, logging, and monitoring.

Experience with cameras, optics, lighting, GPUs, edge inference, image/video pipelines, metadata, datasets, ETL/ELT, Docker, containers, cloud/edge/hybrid deployment, and orchestration. Knowledge of PLC/MES/SCADA, OT/IT integration, industrial networks, cybersecurity, access controls, and auditability. C++, Java, or C# is a plus.

Must-Have: Strong hands-on Computer Vision and industrial/manufacturing deployment experience; pharma/GMP validation preferred. Proficiency in Python, OpenCV, PyTorch/TensorFlow, YOLO or equivalent. Expertise in vision/data/software engineering, PLC/MES/SCADA, GMP/GxP, CSV, 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11, Data Integrity, Risk Assessment, Change Control, audit trails, validation, model metrics, architecture, PoC-to-production, vendor management, and technical/stakeholder leadership.
