MDM & Data Governance Lead Experience: 15+ years Role Type: Master Data Management / Data Governance Role Overview The MDM & Data Governance Lead will establish and lead the master data and governance framework for regulatory and enterprise data. The role will define data ownership, stewardship, standards, quality controls, operating models, and governance processes across critical data domains. Define and implement the MDM and data governance strategy across regulatory and enterprise data domains.

- Establish governance operating models, roles, responsibilities, decision rights, and stewardship processes.
- Identify and define critical data elements, authoritative sources, golden records, and data ownership.
- Develop data standards, taxonomies, reference data, business glossaries, metadata, and data classification frameworks.
- Lead data quality profiling, rule definition, monitoring, remediation, and continuous improvement.
- Support master data design for products, organisations, substances, regulatory agencies, registrations, submissions, and related domains. Define MDM architecture, match-and-merge rules, survivorship logic, hierarchy management, and data synchronisation.
- Work with Regulatory Affairs, Data Architecture, Engineering, AI, Security, and business stakeholders.




- Support data lineage, data privacy, retention, access management, and audit requirements.
- Drive data governance adoption through training, communication, process design, and change management.
- Define data quality KPIs, governance dashboards, issue management, and escalation processes. Support regulatory data standards such as IDMP, SPOR, XEVMPD, and controlled vocabularies, where applicable. Required Skills and Experience

- 15+ years of experience in MDM, data governance, data quality, information management, or enterprise data transformation. Experience leading governance programmes in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or regulated environments. Robust knowledge of MDM principles, data ownership, stewardship, metadata, lineage, taxonomies, and data quality.

Experience with tools such as Collibra, Informatica, Reltio, Ataccama, Microsoft Purview, Alation, or equivalent.

- Experience with regulatory, product, organisation, reference, or customer master data.
- Strong understanding of data privacy, security, GxP, auditability, and data integrity.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.
