SimXpert is our power-system engineering platform designed to simplify and automate network modelling, analysis and study workflows for utilities, consultants, EPCs and industrial customers.

Role Description:

We are seeking an Application Engineer - Business Development to identify qualified prospects and develop opportunities through solid technical engagement. The role will combine power-system engineering knowledge with customer discovery, solution demonstrations and commercial follow-through. The successful candidate will understand customer study workflows, establish technical credibility and position SimXpert as a practical solution to engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify, research and qualify prospective customers across utilities, engineering consultants, EPCs and industrial organizations.
- Conduct technical discovery meetings to understand customer workflows, study requirements, pain points and buying priorities.
- Deliver compelling SimXpert demonstrations, technical presentations and solution discussions.
- Map customer requirements to SimXpert capabilities and develop relevant use cases,



solution approaches and value propositions.
- Plan and support technical evaluations, proof-of-concepts and pilot engagements.
- Prepare technical inputs for proposals and coordinate commercial follow-up to progress opportunities through the sales pipeline.
- Provide structured customer and market feedback to the product team to support roadmap and positioning decisions.

Qualifications/Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; a postgraduate degree in Power Systems would be an advantage.
- 3-7 years of experience in power-system studies, application engineering, technical consulting, pre-sales or business development.
- Practical understanding of load flow, short circuit, motor starting, protection coordination and related power-system studies.
- Hands-on exposure to tools such as ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, SKM PowerTools, EasyPower, CYME, PSS/E or similar platforms.
- Strong customer-facing communication, technical presentation and product demonstration skills.
- Ability to ask effective discovery questions, understand engineering requirements and translate them into solution value.
- Experience working with electrical consultants, EPCs, industrial power-system teams or utilities would be preferred.
