Role Overview

We're looking for an AI-Native Full-Stack Mobile Application Developer who builds and ships production mobile applications end to end, from the app UI to the backend services and APIs behind it. You will use AI tools across the full SDLC. You will direct AI tools and agents, critically review what they produce, and stay accountable for the quality, security, and intent of everything that ships.

Key Responsibilities

Plan & Design

- Use AI to turn requirements into version-controlled spec documents covering the problem, outcome, constraints, and open questions
- Explore the codebase with AI, weigh design options, flag risks, and get the plan agreed before code is written

Build

- Build mobile app features (cross-platform or native), including UI in Flutter, state management, API integration, push notifications, and offline handling
- Design and build backend services and APIs, including data models, authentication, and authorization
- Own the data layer: schema design, queries, migrations, and caching across SQL and NoSQL stores
- Run parallel AI-assisted tasks (separate branches or worktrees) without letting review quality slip
- Maintain shared project context and coding conventions so AI tools follow team standards

Test





- Give AI tools a way to verify their own work (tests, build, lint, visual checks) before work is reported as done
- Write API, integration, and contract tests so mobile and backend changes stay compatible
- Test across devices, OS versions, and screen sizes using AI-assisted unit, UI, and visual checks

Review & Deploy

- Review AI-generated code and PRs for intent, correctness, security, and risk
- Work within CI/CD pipelines and approval gates: AI can act up to the production gate, and a human authorizes the release
- Deploy backend services on AWS or GCP, and release mobile builds to Google Play and the Apple App Store
- Apply mobile and API security practices: secure on-device storage, OAuth/JWT, certificate pinning, and OWASP MASVS
- Keep secrets, credentials, and PII out of code, logs, and prompts

Maintain

- Use AI to triage production issues, diagnose root causes, and draft fixes
- Monitor app health using crash reporting, analytics, and performance metrics
- Support incident response and share AI-native practices with the wider team

Required Qualifications

- 2 to 3 years of professional experience building and shipping production applications
- Hands-on mobile development (Flutter, React Native, or native Android/iOS), with at least one app shipped to an app store
- Hands-on backend development (e.g., Node.js, Python, or Java) with SQL or NoSQL databases, deployed to production
- Experience with push notifications, Firebase or similar mobile backends, and app store release workflows
- Daily use of AI coding assistants and agents, with the judgment to verify and correct their output
- Solid working knowledge of Git, code review, automated testing, and CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions)
- Ability to write clear markdown specs and plans that both humans and AI tools can act on
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Transparent written communication
