About the role

You will help shape our agricultural standards, product decisions and growing practices.

This is a hands-on role combining plant work, investigation, experimentation, customer support and documentation. Some days will involve roots, nutrient solutions and growing systems. Others will involve research, customer conversations, spreadsheets, training materials or reviewing AI-generated guidance.

We’re looking for someone who takes responsibility for understanding a problem, proposes practical solutions and follows through to check the outcome.

Key responsibilities

- Product agronomy and technical accuracy: Evaluate agricultural and gardening products, identify suitable uses, and verify instructions, dosage, compatibility, precautions and technical claims.
- Plant-health troubleshooting: Investigate pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies, root problems and environmental stresses. Ask useful follow-up questions and provide clear recommendations, preventive care and follow-up.
- Product research and trials: Plan and document practical experiments involving potting-mix ratios, growing media, germination, fertilizers, nutrients and other growing products. Record observations,



compare results and explain what remains uncertain.
- Growing systems and demo crops: Maintain HeyFarmer’s office and demonstration systems. Develop practical care and troubleshooting protocols for relevant hydroponic, aeroponic, indoor-gardening, microgreen and mushroom-growing offerings.
- AI and WhatsApp agronomy support: Help build reliable agricultural knowledge, diagnostic questions and recommendation workflows. Review AI-generated guidance, identify errors and work with the technology team to improve accuracy.
- Documentation and customer learning: Create product guidance, SOPs, growing protocols and trial records. Use recurring customer problems to improve products, instructions and support.

Qualifications and experience

- At least 1 years of relevant practical experience in agronomy, Hydroponis, crop production, horticulture, growing trials or controlled-environment cultivation.
- A degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Plant Science or a related discipline is preferred.
- Practical understanding of plant health, growing media, nutrition, germination and crop care.
- Experience with hydroponics, aeroponics or mushroom cultivation is useful, alongside a willingness to learn unfamiliar methods.
- Ability to maintain clear records and use basic spreadsheets, documentation and digital tools.
- Explicit, practical communication with customers and colleagues. Malayalam communication skills are helpful for local customer support.

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
