ABOUT THE ROLE

BITE is a 17-programme institution (B.Ed, D.El.Ed, B.P.Ed, BBA, BCA, MBA, B.A., B.Sc, B.Com, M.Com and six MA programmes) at Babatpur, Varanasi, run by the Purwanchal Educational Trust. Our students come from across Purvanchal and Bihar, many as the first in their family to enter higher education.

The Admission

Counsellor is the first person they and their parents speak to. The work is to listen, understand what the student needs, explain the right programme honestly, eligibility, fees and scholarships included, and bring the family to the campus to decide.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Counsel prospective students and parents on the phone, on WhatsApp and in person: programme choice, eligibility, fees, scholarships, hostel and transport.
- Convert enquiries into campus visits, and campus visits into admissions, while keeping the advice honest.
- Mentor and guide students through the application and documentation stages until they join.
- Keep every conversation and follow-up recorded in the admissions CRM, on the same day.
- Take part in school visits and admission events in Varanasi and the neighbouring districts.

WHAT WE NEED (ESSENTIAL)

1. Communication: fluent, qualified spoken and written Hindi and English.
2. A postgraduate degree in any discipline. This is mandatory.
3.



The ability to convince, counsel, mentor and guide: patient with parents, clear with students, persuasive without pressure.
4. Relevant experience of 1 to 2 years in admissions, education counselling, academic advising or a similar role where you advised people face to face.
5. A native of Varanasi, or roots in Varanasi or the neighbouring districts (hometown, family, or studied here).

PREFERRED

- Postgraduate degree in Management (MBA) or in Psychological Counselling or Psychology.
- Experience with an admissions CRM or similar system.

SALARY

₹18,000 – ₹45,000 per month, as per experience and capability.
