1. Job Purpose

To ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of VRV/VRF air-conditioning systems and related HVAC equipment across the hospital premises, while maintaining uninterrupted temperature control in critical and patient-care areas.

1. Key Responsibilities

- Operate, monitor, and maintain VRV/VRF AC systems, indoor units, outdoor units, compressors, controllers, and associated equipment.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of VRV/VRF systems as per the maintenance schedule.
- Diagnose and rectify AC-related faults, including compressor, PCB, sensor, communication, refrigerant, drainage, and electrical issues.
- Check and maintain refrigerant pressure, leakage, gas charging, piping, insulation, and drainage systems.
- Attend complaints related to AC cooling, temperature fluctuations, unusual noise, water leakage, and system breakdowns.
- Perform regular cleaning of filters, coils, drain trays, blowers, and other HVAC components.
- Monitor system performance and identify potential failures before breakdowns occur.
- Carry out electrical checks of MCBs, contactors, relays, capacitors, motors, wiring, and control panels related to HVAC systems.
- Coordinate with the Engineering/Maintenance team for major breakdowns and replacement of defective components.
- Maintain records of preventive maintenance, breakdowns, repairs, spare parts, refrigerant charging, and service activities.
- Ensure HVAC systems in OTs, ICUs, wards, laboratories,



diagnostic areas, pharmacies, and other critical hospital areas remain operational as per required conditions.
- Respond promptly to emergency AC breakdowns, particularly in critical patient-care areas.
- Follow hospital safety procedures and ensure compliance with electrical, HVAC, fire, and infection-control requirements.
- Use appropriate PPE and safety equipment while carrying out maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with external AMC/service vendors whenever specialized technical support is required.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and cleanliness of AHU/AC plant rooms and work areas.
- Maintain availability and proper use of tools, equipment, and HVAC spare parts.
- Report major technical issues, recurring faults, and equipment replacement requirements to the reporting manager.
- Perform any other HVAC/engineering-related duties assigned by the management.

1. Required Skills & Competencies

- Good knowledge of VRV/VRF AC systems and HVAC equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and refrigeration-related faults.
- Knowledge of refrigerant charging, leak detection, vacuuming, pressure testing, and recovery procedures.
- Basic knowledge of electrical circuits, control panels, sensors, PCBs, and communication systems.
- Ability to read basic electrical/HVAC diagrams.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.




- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Ability to respond quickly during emergency breakdowns.
- Valuable discipline and adherence to hospital safety protocols.

1. Educational Qualification

- ITI/Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (RAC), HVAC, Electrical, or a related technical trade.
- Relevant certification in HVAC/VRV/VRF systems will be an added advantage.

1. Experience

- 2–5 years of relevant experience in VRV/VRF/HVAC maintenance.
- Hospital, hotel, commercial building, or other large facility experience will be preferred.
- Experience with reputed VRV/VRF systems such as Daikin, Mitsubishi, LG, Voltas, Hitachi, or equivalent will be an advantage.

1. Working Conditions

- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays as per hospital requirements.
- May be required to attend emergency breakdowns beyond normal working hours.
- Ability to work in plant rooms, rooftops, service areas, and other technical locations.
- Must strictly follow hospital safety and operational protocols.

- Availability and uptime of VRV/VRF systems.
- Timely completion of preventive maintenance.
- Breakdown response and resolution time.
- Reduction in recurring HVAC complaints.
- Proper maintenance documentation.
- Energy-efficient operation of HVAC systems.
- Compliance with safety and hospital maintenance protocols.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
