Accountant / Senior Accountant – Finalisation, GST & Manufacturing Accounts

Location: Calicut / Kozhikode, Kerala

Salary: ₹18,000–₹22,000 per month – negotiable for the right candidate

Job Summary

RX Sterile Medpack is a growing company in the medical sterilisation packaging industry looking for an experienced Accountant / Senior Accountant.

The candidate should be able to independently handle accounts up to finalisation and have positive practical knowledge of GST, TDS, reconciliations, audit preparation, Tally Prime, Excel and manufacturing/inventory accounting.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle day-to-day accounting and maintain books of accounts
- Independently manage accounts up to finalisation
- Prepare Trial Balance, Profit & Loss Account and Balance Sheet
- Perform ledger scrutiny and resolve discrepancies
- Complete bank, customer and supplier reconciliations
- Handle accounts payable and receivable
- Pass provisions, depreciation and year-end adjustment entries
- Maintain proper vouchers and supporting records

GST & TDS

- Prepare and reconcile GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B
- Perform GSTR-2B / ITC reconciliation
- Follow up on missing or mismatched supplier invoices
- Ensure correct GST treatment of purchase and sales transactions
- Working knowledge of HSN codes and GST rates
- Handle E-Way Bills
- Handle GST credit/debit notes and purchase/sales returns
- Basic knowledge of RCM
- Knowledge of E-Invoicing / IRN generation preferred
- Handle TDS accounting and reconciliations
- Assist with TDS payments and preparation of data for TDS returns
- Coordinate with CA / tax consultant where required

Manufacturing & Inventory Accounting

- Maintain accounting records for raw materials, work in progress, finished goods and consumables




- Assist with stock and inventory reconciliation
- Maintain proper accounting for movement of materials
- Familiarity with job-work transactions and delivery challans preferred

Audit & Finalisation

- Prepare ledgers, schedules, reconciliations and supporting documents for audit
- Assist with statutory / tax audit preparation
- Coordinate with Chartered Accountants / auditors
- Ensure books are properly maintained for year-end finalisation

Requirements

- 3+ years of relevant practical accounting experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of Final Accounts
- Good practical knowledge of GST, ITC reconciliation and TDS
- Good working knowledge of Tally Prime and MS Excel
- Experience in ledger scrutiny and reconciliations
- Ability to independently handle accounting responsibilities
- Manufacturing accounts experience preferred
- Commerce / Accounting background preferred
- Candidates should preferably reside in Calicut / Kozhikode or nearby areas and be able to commute daily

Salary ₹18,000–₹22,000 per month

Salary is negotiable for the right candidate depending on experience, practical knowledge and ability to independently handle the role.
