Senior Tekla Modeler

About the Role

MechCiv Designers LLP is looking for an experienced Senior Tekla Modeler with 4–6 years of hands-on experience in steel modeling and detailing.

You will work on USA and Australia-based structural steel projects, creating accurate Tekla models and fabrication-ready drawings while coordinating with project teams to deliver projects according to required standards, quality and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

- Create accurate 3D steel models using Tekla.
- Develop detailed steel fabrication and shop drawings.
- Prepare GA, assembly and single-part drawings.
- Handle steel members, connections and complex detailing requirements.
- Review models and drawings for accuracy, completeness and constructability.
- Read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
- Coordinate with engineers, detailers and project teams to resolve modeling and detailing issues.
- Identify and correct clashes, drawing errors and modeling issues.
- Prepare and review material information, reports and project deliverables as required.
- Ensure drawings and models comply with project requirements and applicable standards.
- Support project coordination and quality-control activities.
- Complete assigned projects within agreed timelines.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- 4–6 years of relevant experience in Tekla modeling and steel detailing.
- Strong hands-on experience with Tekla.
- Good understanding of structural steel detailing and fabrication processes.
- Experience preparing fabrication/shop drawings.
- Good understanding of GA, assembly and single-part drawings.
- Knowledge of steel connections and detailing practices.
- Ability to read and understand structural drawings.




- Knowledge of AISC and Australian Standards (AS).
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage project deadlines.
- Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Skills

- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Experience working on international steel detailing projects.
- Experience coordinating with engineers, detailers, fabricators or project teams.
- Practical understanding of fabrication and erection requirements.

Project Exposure

Salary

₹40000 to ₹60000 per month

Salary will be based on experience, technical skills and project knowledge.
