Tax Accountant - Form 1120 Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tax Accountant with a robust focus on U.S. corporate income tax returns, specifically Form 1120. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and filing complex corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. This role requires a deep understanding of corporate tax law, excellent analytical abilities, and proficiency with various tax preparation software.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review federal, state, and local corporate income tax returns, with a primary emphasis on Form 1120 and related schedules.
- Gather and analyze financial data, including income statements, balance sheets, and general ledgers, to ensure accurate tax reporting.
- Conduct tax research and analysis to support tax positions,



identify tax planning opportunities, and ensure compliance with evolving tax laws and regulations.
- Assist with tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities, preparing necessary documentation and responses.
- Reconcile tax accounts and prepare tax provisions for financial statements.
- Collaborate with clients or internal departments to obtain necessary information and clarify tax-related issues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in tax legislation and accounting principles relevant to corporate taxation.
- Identify and implement process improvements for tax preparation and compliance activities.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff members as needed.
