Job Description:

We are looking for a Multi-Skill Technician Trainer to deliver theoretical and practical training in basic electrical work, mechanical maintenance, plumbing, repair techniques, and the secure handling of tools and equipment. The trainer will help candidates develop practical technical skills and workplace readiness in accordance with the approved training curriculum and applicable DDU-GKY guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver theoretical and practical training in the technical skills covered by the approved course curriculum.
- Teach basic electrical concepts, mechanical maintenance, plumbing, repair work, and equipment maintenance, as applicable to the trade.
- Demonstrate the correct use of hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and workshop equipment.
- Conduct hands-on practical sessions, demonstrations, assignments, and skill-based exercises.
- Explain workplace health and safety procedures, including electrical safety and the safe handling of tools and equipment.
- Train candidates in identifying common faults, performing basic troubleshooting, and carrying out routine maintenance.
- Monitor trainee performance and conduct theoretical and practical assessments.
- Identify learning gaps and provide additional practice and corrective guidance.
- Maintain workshop tools, equipment, training materials, and practical work areas in safe working condition.
- Maintain trainee attendance, lesson plans, assessment results, progress reports, and other training records.
- Support trainees in developing the technical competence required for entry-level employment.
- Coordinate with the training centre management and placement team to improve candidates' employability.
- Follow the approved curriculum, training schedule, assessment procedures,



and applicable DDU-GKY SOPs.
- Maintain the required documentation and evidence for inspections and audits.

Required Skills:

- Strong practical knowledge of relevant electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or maintenance skills.
- Ability to demonstrate technical procedures and explain concepts clearly.
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and workshop equipment.
- Understanding of workplace safety and preventive maintenance practices.
- Basic troubleshooting, fault identification, and repair skills relevant to the course.
- Good communication, teaching, and classroom management skills.
- Patience and the ability to train candidates with different levels of technical understanding.
- Basic computer, documentation, and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to conduct practical assessments and maintain trainee progress records.

Qualification and Experience:

- Relevant technical or vocational qualification as prescribed by the applicable NCVT/SSC standards for the domain, wherever applicable.
- ITI, Diploma, or another relevant technical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Maintenance, or a related trade is preferred, depending on the approved course requirements.
- Practical industry experience in technical maintenance, repair, installation, or related work is preferred.
- Previous vocational training or teaching experience is an advantage.

Preferred Additional Skills:

- Experience in technical workshops, maintenance departments, or industrial environments.
- Ability to conduct practical demonstrations and troubleshoot common technical issues.
- Experience in vocational training or skill-development programmes.
- Knowledge of DDU-GKY training procedures and documentation requirements.
