We are looking for a proactive and result-oriented Field Business Development Executive to expand our client's marketplace app in Coimbatore. The primary responsibility is to identify, approach, and onboard new vendors and local businesses onto the platform.

The ideal candidate should have strong communication, negotiation, and field sales skills, along with the ability to build relationships with local vendors and achieve onboarding targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and approach potential vendors, merchants, and local businesses across Coimbatore.
- Conduct field visits to explain the marketplace app, its features, and business benefits.
- Onboard new vendors onto the client's app and assist them with the registration process.
- Explain vendor benefits, platform features, pricing, commissions, and terms, as applicable.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to encourage long-term engagement.
- Follow up with interested vendors and convert prospects into registered partners.
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly vendor onboarding targets.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure a smooth vendor onboarding experience.
- Maintain accurate records of field visits, leads, follow-ups, and onboarding progress.
- Gather vendor feedback and share market insights with the management team.
- Explore new business opportunities and identify potential vendor categories and locations for expansion.

Requirements





- 2–3 years of experience in field sales, business development, merchant acquisition, or vendor onboarding.
- Good communication, negotiation, and convincing skills.
- Ability to independently conduct field visits across Coimbatore.
- Strong relationship-building and follow-up skills.
- Target-oriented mindset with a willingness to work in a field-based role.
- Basic knowledge of smartphones, mobile applications, and digital platforms.
- Familiarity with the Coimbatore local market is preferred.
- A valid two-wheeler driving licence and own vehicle are preferred.

- Number of current vendors successfully onboarded.
- Conversion rate from vendor enquiries to successful registrations.
- Number of daily field visits and vendor meetings.
- Follow-up effectiveness and vendor activation rate.
- Achievement of monthly onboarding targets.
