Job Title: Licensed Electrician / Wireman (Heavy Duty)

Job Summary :

The Licensed Electrician / Wireman is responsible for executing, maintaining, and repairing heavy-duty electrical systems, high/low voltage power distribution, panels, heavy machinery, and motor controls across commercial, industrial, or facility premises. The ideal candidate must hold a valid state-issued Wireman License, Supervisor Permit, or Heavy-Duty Electrical License and adhere strictly to safety, electrical inspectorate guidelines, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities1. Heavy Electrical Operations & Maintenance

- Maintain, test, and troubleshoot High Tension (HT) / Low Tension (LT) panels, transformers, distribution boards, and switchgears.
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on heavy industrial motors, control circuits, starters (Star-Delta, DOL, VFDs), and heavy-duty water pumps.
- Monitor and maintain backup power systems, including Diesel Generators (DG sets), AMF panels, air circuit breakers (ACBs), and molded case circuit breakers (MCCBs).
- Carry out earthing pit testing, insulation resistance checks (Megger testing), phase balancing, and voltage load management.

2. Installation & Wiring Work

- Lay heavy electrical cabling, tray installations, conduit fitting, and industrial wiring following single-line diagrams (SLDs) and blueprints.
- Install and repair lighting fixtures, heavy machinery control panels, switchboards, and automatic switching systems.
- Ensure proper terminal connections, lug crimping, and insulation checks to prevent line faults, short circuits, or voltage drops.

3. Safety, Compliance & Regulatory Audits





- Ensure all works comply strictly with the National Electrical Code, Factory Acts, and Electrical Inspectorate safety norms.
- Execute Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and obtain standard Work Permits (Hot Work / Height Work / High Voltage) before initiating critical repairs.
- Maintain shift logs, equipment maintenance checklists, breakdown reports, and statutory inspection registers.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

- Education: ITI in Electrical / Wireman Trade Trade Certificate OR Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Mandatory Licensing:
- Valid Government Wireman License / Electrical Competency Certificate (e.g., Wireman/Supervisor License issued by the State Electrical Licensing Board).
- (Optional/Preferred) HT/LT License or Heavy-Duty Commercial Electrical Permit.
- Experience: 2 to 6 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing plants, commercial buildings, large hotels, or facility management sites.

Technical & Physical Skills

- Strong knowledge of 3-phase high-power distribution, motor control systems, and panel wiring.
- Proficient in using heavy electrical testing tools: Multimeter, Clamp Meter, Megger (Insulation Tester), Earth Tester, and Phase Sequence Indicator.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams (SLD), and panel drawings.
- Good physical endurance (capable of working in plant rooms, climbing ladders, and lifting standard equipment).

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
