● Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and multi-project accounting for disaster relief and community initiatives.
● Review and approve financial transactions, operational expenditures, and project disbursements with rigorous adherence to internal controls.
3. Compliance, Auditing & Risk Management
● Strengthen internal compliance frameworks, ensuring adherence to Indian regulatory standards (including FCRA, Income Tax Act,
and local statutory requirements for charitable trusts).
● Act as the primary liaison for both internal and external auditors, facilitating seamless audit reviews and implementing corrective actions promptly.
● Ensure full alignment with international donor standards, cross-border remittance regulations, and transparent reporting practices.
4. Additional Value-Add Responsibilities
● Design and scale financial standard operating procedures (SOPs) for emergency disaster relief funds and long-term community rehabilitation projects.
● Optimize resource allocation across regional operations in Punjab and other active zones in India to maximize humanitarian impact per rupee spent.
● Advise executive leadership on risk mitigation strategies regarding currency fluctuations, institutional banking relationships, and reserve fund management.
Candidate Requirements & Qualifications
● Experience: 15 to 20 years of progressive professional experience within the finance, accounting, or corporate finance industry. Prior experience working within a charitable trust, NGO, or non-profit sector is a strong plus.
● Location: Based in Punjab, with a preference for candidates located in or around Chandigarh, Patiala, or Jalandhar.
