About RoadMate

RoadMate is a multi-industry quick commerce platform that connects neighbourhood shops with their customers, distributors and manufacturers through one app.

The Business Development Manager is the face of RoadMate to every shop owner and delivery partner in that market.

What you will do

You own one industry in Kakkanad and are responsible for getting its outlets live and ordering on RoadMate.

- Onboard retail outlets. Visit shops in your industry every day, present RoadMate, sign selected outlets and help them to onboard RoadMate platform.
- Sell offers and brand activation. Explain manufacturer and distributor offers to shop owners, convince them to buy and make them live in RoadMate platform.
- Onboard delivery partners. Find, verify and sign up delivery boys in your area and make sure they are ready for their shifts.
- Close advertisement deals with retailers. Sell RoadMate's co-funded advertising to your outlets: metro pillar hoardings,



flat list marketing, paper inserts and influencer promotions.
- Look after your outlets. Revisit them regularly, solve their problems quickly and keep them active on the app.
- Report daily. Update visits, sign-ups, orders and collections in the team tracker.

How your work is measured: outlets live on the app, orders taken from retailers, delivery partners active and advertisement contributions collected.

What we are looking for

Must have

- Fluent spoken Malayalam and the confidence to walk into a shop and start a conversation
- Willingness to be in the field six days a week
- A two-wheeler with a valid driving licence, and a smartphone
- Positive knowledge of Kakkanad and nearby areas

Good to have

- 1 to 3 years of field sales experience in FMCG, food delivery, telecom, payments or a similar retail-facing business
- Existing relationships with shop owners in Kakkanad
- Experience in the industry you apply for
- Basic English
