Eight Times Eight is a chess education company on a mission to help children develop focus, concentration, patience, and critical thinking through chess. With students across multiple countries, we are building an engaging global learning platform that combines education, technology, and creativity. We are also the first ed tech brand from Kerala to get featured on Shark Tank India.

We are looking for a creative and skilled Video Editor who can bring ideas to life through engaging videos for social media, digital marketing, educational content and brand storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

- Edit engaging videos for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, YouTube videos, advertisements, and other digital platforms.
- Create compelling video content using footage, images, music, sound effects, text, transitions, and animations.
- Edit promotional videos, marketing creatives, educational videos, and brand content.
- Add captions, subtitles, motion graphics, and visual effects wherever required.
- Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to understand creative briefs and deliver videos that meet the intended objectives.
- Adapt videos to different platforms, formats, and audience requirements.
- Maintain consistency in video quality, branding, and storytelling.
- Stay updated with the latest video editing trends, tools, and creative formats.

Skills We’re Looking For





- Strong practical video editing skills and a positive sense of storytelling.
- Creativity, attention to detail, and an understanding of what makes a video engaging.
- Understanding of short-form video formats, social media trends, pacing, and audience engagement.
- Ability to work with feedback, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects.
- Familiarity with motion graphics, animation, sound design, or AI-powered video tools will be an added advantage.

Qualifications and Experience

Formal qualifications are not our primary consideration. Your portfolio and the quality of work you have already created matter more than your degree or certificates.

We welcome applications from freshers with strong portfolios as well as experienced video editors who can demonstrate their skills through actual projects.

Salary and Work Location

- Salary: ₹15,000–₹25,000 per month, based on experience, editing skills, and portfolio quality.
- Location: Our office in Ernakulam, Kerala.
- Work mode: Full-time, work from office.
