Job Description – Garment Merchandiser

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

- Order Coordination & Planning: Coordinate with the sales, design, sampling, and production teams to understand garment requirements, order specifications, quantities, and delivery timelines.
- Fabric & Material Sourcing: Coordinate with fabric and accessory suppliers for sourcing, procurement, and timely availability of fabrics, trims, labels, packaging, and other raw materials required for production.
- Sampling & Product Development: Manage the sampling process, coordinate with designers and production teams, track sample approvals, and ensure garments meet the required specifications before bulk production.
- Production Follow-up: Monitor order progress at different production stages, including cutting, stitching, finishing, and packing, to ensure timely execution and delivery.
- Costing & Consumption: Prepare garment cost sheets, calculate fabric and trim consumption, maintain costing records, and assist in price negotiations and cost optimisation.
- Quality Control & Specifications:



Ensure garments meet approved samples, size specifications, measurement charts, colour standards, and quality requirements. Coordinate with the quality team to resolve production issues.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain order sheets, tech packs, bills of materials, purchase records, production trackers, and delivery schedules. Prepare regular updates on order status, material requirements, and pending approvals.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Graduate or diploma in Fashion Technology, Textile Technology, Apparel Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Experience in garment merchandising, preferably in sportswear or apparel manufacturing.
- Valuable understanding of fabrics, garment construction, size charts, measurements, and production processes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel for costing, material planning, and order tracking.
- Strong coordination, communication, follow-up, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple orders and meet production deadlines.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
