Moonlight Placement Services is an India-based recruitment and manpower services business exploring opportunities to expand into technology-enabled recruitment and develop an AI-powered recruitment platform.

We are looking for a motivated and resourceful Government Grants & Startup Funding Consultant who can identify suitable Indian government funding programs, non-repayable grants, startup incubation opportunities and innovation support schemes.

The selected candidate will work independently to research funding opportunities, assess eligibility, coordinate applications and help Moonlight access suitable government-supported programs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Government Grant Identification

- Research Indian central government and state government grants for startups and creative businesses.
- Identify funding opportunities through Startup India, the Department of Science and Technology, incubators, Maharashtra State Innovation Society and other relevant government institutions.
- Explore suitable programs for AI, HR technology, recruitment automation, SaaS and workforce technology.
- Identify grants that do not require repayment or equity dilution, wherever available.
- Track new funding announcements, eligibility criteria and application deadlines.

2. Eligibility Assessment

- Assess whether Moonlight Placement Services qualifies for relevant programs.
- Identify requirements for DPIIT recognition, incorporation, MSME registration, incubation and product development.
- Distinguish grants from loans, credit guarantees, equity investments, tax benefits and subsidised services.
- Prepare a shortlist of credible opportunities supported by official government sources.

3. Grant Application and Proposal Preparation

- Assist with grant applications, business plans, pitch decks and financial projections.
- Prepare funding proposals, project summaries and innovation roadmaps.




- Coordinate supporting documents and application submissions.
- Track applications and communicate with relevant incubators and funding agencies.
- Help prepare responses to queries from program administrators.

4. Government and Incubator Outreach

- Contact approved incubators, startup support organisations and government innovation agencies.
- Build professional relationships with relevant ecosystem stakeholders.
- Explore opportunities for mentorship, incubation, prototype funding and technology development support.

5. Funding Pipeline Management

- Maintain a record of potential grants, eligibility findings, deadlines and application progress.
- Provide regular updates on opportunities identified and applications submitted.
- Focus on realistic, verifiable funding opportunities rather than guaranteed funding promises.

Compensation Structure — 100% Commission-Based

This is a strictly commission-based opportunity. There is no fixed salary, monthly salary or guaranteed compensation.

The selected consultant will propose a commission structure for mutual discussion and written agreement.

- Compensation will be linked to successfully secured funding, subject to the agreed contract and applicable program rules.
- Commission will be calculated only on the funding amount explicitly covered by the agreement.
- Payment will be triggered according to the agreed terms after funding is officially awarded and received by the company.
- No payment will be due merely for sharing grant links or submitting unsuccessful applications.
- Any commission or success fee must be permitted under the relevant funding program's rules and applicable law.
- Where percentage-based fees are prohibited, an alternative compliant arrangement may be discussed.

Candidates should clearly state their expected commission percentage and proposed working arrangement when applying.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Experience in government grant research, startup funding,



grant writing or funding consultancy.
- Knowledge of Indian startup schemes and government-supported innovation programs.
- Strong research, business writing and proposal preparation skills.
- Ability to verify eligibility and funding conditions using official sources.
- Positive communication and professional outreach skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- A practical understanding of startup business models and financial projections.

Preferred Experience

Experience with any of the following is an advantage:

- Startup India and DPIIT recognition.
- Department of Science and Technology programs, including applicable NIDHI schemes.
- Maharashtra State Innovation Society programs.
- Government-supported incubators and startup accelerators.
- AI, SaaS, HR technology or recruitment technology funding.
- Previously secured grants, with verifiable examples.
