The chance
We are looking for a hands-on Project Finance and Billing Manager to own project financial tracking, client invoicing and accounts receivable across our UK and India IT consulting operations. You will connect consulting delivery to accurate revenue reporting, timely invoices and cash collection, giving leadership a clear view of profitability and financial risks by engagement and client.
You will work directly with project managers, account owners and client finance teams. This role requires someone who can investigate the detail, challenge incomplete information and follow issues through to resolution.
It is an individual contributor role with responsibility for coordinating the process across teams.
Requirements
Key responsibilities
Project setup and financial control
• Translate signed contracts and statements of work into project budgets, rate cards, billing schedules, milestone plans and purchase-order records.
• Maintain accurate project and customer records, including the billing entity, currency, payment terms, invoice contacts and submission requirements.
• Monitor contract and PO values, expiry dates, approved changes and remaining funding; escalate gaps before they delay billing or expose VE3 to unapproved work.
Project accounting and profitability
• Track consulting revenue, consultant and contractor costs, expenses and other delivery costs by engagement; explain actual and forecast margin movements.
