Lead Software Engineer

The Purpose of this Role

The FFIO Technology team is looking for an experienced Lead Software Engineer to design, develop, and support next-generation cloud-native applications and platforms. This role will be responsible for hands-on software development, technical leadership, and mentoring engineers while partnering with product and technology teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and innovative solutions. The position is based in Bangalore, India.

The Skills That Are Key to This Role

• Strong software engineering fundamentals with 8+ years of experience designing and developing Java/Spring Boot based full-stack applications.

• At least 3 years of experience as a Lead Engineer, driving technical design, mentoring engineers, and delivering enterprise-scale applications hosted on AWS.

• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or similar solutions to improve developer productivity, code quality, testing, documentation, troubleshooting,



and accelerate delivery of complex solutions.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, clean code principles, test-driven development, and software engineering best practices.

• Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud-native technologies, including EKS, ECS, S3, CloudWatch, Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.

• Robust experience with Java 17/21+, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, REST APIs, Maven, Swagger/OpenAPI, Kafka/Artemis, and Reactive Programming.

• Experience with test automation frameworks such as JUnit 5, Mockito, WireMock, Cypress, Playwright, Cucumber, or equivalent technologies.

• Minimum 3 years of experience with SQL and PL/SQL development; Oracle database experience preferred.

• Experience building and deploying cloud-native applications following 12-Factor App principles and modern microservices architecture patterns.
