Position Overview
Autodesk's Platform team is seeking a motivated Software Engineer (Java AWS) to join our growing engineering organization. Our ecosystem is built around cloud-native services and modern applications that power Autodesk's platform capabilities.
In this role, you will contribute to the development and evolution of Autodesk's cloud data platform while learning to build reliable, scalable software used by millions of customers worldwide. You will work alongside experienced engineers, architects, and product managers and gain hands-on experience with modern cloud technologies and engineering practices.
You will be based in Pune and report to the Manager of Software Development. We offer a flexible hybrid work model.
Responsibilities
• Participate in the software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance
• Develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain high-quality software primarily using Java and Spring Boot
• Write clean, maintainable,
and well-tested code following established engineering practices
• Work with experienced engineers and architects to understand technical designs and translate requirements into software features
• Contribute to cloud-native services and RESTful APIs running on AWS
• Build automated unit and integration tests to improve software quality and reliability
• Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to continuously improve your engineering skills
• Learn and contribute to CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and production support practices
• Collaborate with team members to diagnose and resolve software defects and production issues
• Contribute ideas that improve engineering practices, developer productivity, and product quality
• Use contemporary AI-assisted development tools and practices, including code generation, automated reviews, and Spec-Driven Development, with appropriate engineering validation and oversight
