Role Description
The Technical Superintendent – Dry Bulk & Product Tankers will oversee the technical operations, maintenance, and repairs of an assigned fleet of dry bulk and product tanker vessels, ensuring safe, reliable, compliant,
and cost-effective vessel operation. This is a full time, on-site role based in our Chennai office (work from office). It involves close coordination with Masters, Chief Engineers, onboard engineering teams, classification societies, shipyards, vendors, and internal operations and finance teams. Responsibilities include monitoring vessel performance and machinery reliability, managing planned maintenance and repairs, coordinating dry-dockings and technical procurement, and ensuring compliance with maritime regulations and safety standards. The role also includes managing technical budgets and controlling operational costs, providing technical support to onboard teams, preparing technical reports, maintaining accurate documentation within Marlo's platform, and contributing to process improvements in technical and fleet management.
