• Receive, identify, label, and register tissue specimens accurately.
• Perform tissue processing, dehydration, clearing, and paraffin wax infiltration.
• Embed tissue specimens in paraffin wax blocks.
• Perform microtomy and prepare thin tissue sections for microscopic examination.
• Conduct routine Hematoxylin and Eosin (H&E;) staining and special stains as required.
• Assist with immunohistochemistry (IHC) procedures, where applicable.
• Prepare, label, and maintain microscope slides and tissue blocks.
• Operate, clean, and maintain histopathology laboratory equipment.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality control protocols, and laboratory safety guidelines.
• Handle chemicals, biological specimens, and laboratory waste safely.
• Maintain accurate records of specimen processing, staining, and quality control.
• Monitor reagents, consumables, and laboratory inventory.
• Coordinate with pathologists and laboratory staff to ensure timely processing of specimens.
