Role Description The Senior Network Security Engineer is a full-time remote role responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network architectures that support NWM’s training platforms, internal systems,



and lab environments.

This role includes configuring and hardening network devices, firewalls, VPNs, and security services, as well as monitoring security events, investigating incidents, and coordinating remediation. The engineer will collaborate with instructors and content creators to validate lab topologies, ensure realistic production-grade scenarios, and advise on best practices in network and security design.

Daily work involves developing and maintaining security policies and standards, performing risk assessments and vulnerability reviews, and optimizing performance and availability while maintaining solid security controls. The role also supports continuous improvement by evaluating new tools and technologies, contributing to documentation, and providing guidance to junior engineers and mentors on emerging threats and mitigation strategies.
