Hiring: Private Equity Fund Accountant | Bangaluru | Full-time
We’re looking for a Private Equity Fund Accountant to join our team at Thought Focus. If you have hands-on Investran experience and enjoy working across the full fund accounting lifecycle, we’d like to hear from you.
What you’ll do
• Handle end-to-end PE fund accounting in Investran
• Prepare and review journal entries, trial balances, NAV calculations, and financial statements
• Process capital calls, distributions, equalizations, transfers, and investor allocations
• Maintain investor- and fund-level records
• Perform cash and position reconciliations, and investigate and resolve breaks
• Support quarterly and annual investor reporting, including capital account statements
• Assist with waterfall, management fee, and carried interest calculations
• Work with internal teams, auditors, administrators, and client stakeholders
• Deliver accurate work on time, within SLA timelines
• Prepare audit schedules and respond to audit queries




• Spot process improvements and help maintain solid operational controls

What we’re looking for
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
• 2–3 years of experience in Private Equity fund accounting or alternative investment operations
• Hands-on experience with Investran
• Solid understanding of PE fund structures, capital activity, investor accounting, and NAV processes
• Working knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS (preferred)
• Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas)
• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and work well in a team
