Social Media Manager for Film Celebrity Brand

About the Role
We’re looking for a sharp, culturally tuned Social Media Manager to run the official digital presence of one of Malayalam cinema’s most loved leading actors. You’ll own the voice, strategy, and growth of the brand across Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), and other platforms, turning a massive fan base into an active, engaged community.
This is a high-visibility role for someone who understands that a celebrity’s social presence is part brand, part storytelling, and part real-time reputation management.

What You’ll Do
• Plan and execute a monthly content calendar across Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, and emerging platforms
• Create and oversee reels, stories, carousels, and posts that feel authentic, not manufactured
• Drive digital campaigns around film releases, trailers, songs, and promotional events
• Coordinate with film production and marketing teams to amplify announcements and release-week pushes
• Manage brand collaborations and endorsement content,



ensuring it fits the star’s image and meets partner deliverables
• Monitor comments, mentions, and trends; engage with fans and handle sensitive situations with tact
• Spot viral moments, memes, and trending formats, and respond quickly
• Track performance (reach, engagement, follower growth, sentiment) and report insights monthly
• Manage photographers, video editors, designers, and freelance creators
• Protect the brand from misinformation, fake accounts, and online negativity

What We’re Looking For
• 3+ years managing social media for a celebrity, film, entertainment, or a high-engagement consumer brand
• Robust command of Malayalam and English; written content must feel natural and witty
• Deep understanding of Malayalam cinema, fan culture, and Kerala’s online audience
• Proven track record of growing accounts and running successful campaigns
• Hands-on experience with Instagram Insights, Meta Business Suite, X Analytics, and scheduling tools
